Puppies/children are like sponges. They absorb your anxiety then reflect it back to you in their behavior. Go to bed and visualize the next day with your puppy. Think things through. Things won’t go perfectly; you’re not rehearsing a perfect day, you’re rehearsing your reactions to the imperfections! If your reactions are calm,the puppy will learn many times faster. Just like children, they will focus on your anxiety rather than the lesson at hand, so plan on remaining calm.
